This page explains what information SimPAP collects, why we collect it, and how we use it. It is written in plain language to match how the site actually works. It is not legal advice.
Who we are
SimPAP is a clinical PAP titration simulator at simpap.com. Questions about privacy: ben@simpap.com.
Information we collect
- Accounts. If you create an account, we store your name, email, username, role, lab affiliation if any, and a hashed password. We do not store your password in plain text.
- Waitlist and reminders. If you ask to be notified when sign-ups open, or request a demo code, we store the email you give us. Demo-code requests may also include your name.
- Billing. If you buy a plan, we store order details (plan, amount, payment method, and status). Card payments are processed by Stripe. PayPal payments are processed by PayPal. We do not store full card numbers or your PayPal password on SimPAP.
- Training activity. Simulation runs, titration reports, feedback notes, assigned practice, and QA work are stored so you and, if you are on a lab team, your lab manager can review them.
- Security logs. For abuse prevention we may store a hashed IP address and similar technical details when you join the waitlist, request a demo, or use account recovery. We do not use this for advertising.
Cookies and sign-in
We use a session cookie so you can stay signed in while you use SimPAP. That login ends when you sign out, or after about 10 minutes with no SimPAP page open. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics on this site.
How we use information
- To run the simulator, accounts, CEU library access, and lab tools
- To send messages you asked for, such as a launch reminder, a username reminder, a password-reset link, or an order email
- To process payments and activate the access you bought
- To let lab managers review their own team’s assigned practice and QA
- To operate and protect the service (for example, rate-limiting recovery emails)
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Stripe if you pay by card
- PayPal if you pay with PayPal
- Your lab if you belong to one: a manager can see training and QA information for their team
- Email delivery when we send you a message from SimPAP
We may also disclose information if we are required to by law, or to protect the service and other users.
How long we keep it
Account and billing records are kept while your account is active and as long as we need them to provide the service and keep business records. Waitlist emails are kept so we can notify you about launch. You can ask us to delete or update your information by emailing ben@simpap.com.
Changes
If this page changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top.
